Rail Drops

The Rail Drop Equipment is located in an elevated track section. When it is not being used, this equipment allows the depot train traffic as a maintenance track continuation. Rail Drops provides an interior corridor allowing rail cars low part maintenance operations.

In case any of the elements located under the rail car needs to be removed or replaced, the Rail Drop descends till it gets completely underground, so that the access to these items is free.

For this kind of maintenance operations, Rail Drops offer a faster and a more comfortable option than lifting the rail car using lifting jacks.
